Training & Nutrition Q&A with Ben & Kerry is Now Available!

Wednesday night training and nutrition call with Ben & Kerry is now released. Keep reading to access the call, in which we address the following:

Bike seats: The new bike seat I have just bought turned-out to be KILLING me on day 2 after a medium long ride on day 1. Before I give-up on it, how long of a “breaking-in” period should I give it before I give up on it? The main issue is pressure on the sit bones. (the seat is a women’s Specialized Jett) I understand that seat selection is a very individual thing, but if you had any recommendations on seats that work well for the female athletes you coach, I would highly appreciate it. Thank you!
Question to compression clothing: I have just received the compression socks you recommended (thank you for the discount you negotiated!) and tried them out after an intense bike / run brick. I have to say they are amazing! Now, I am wondering whether additional compression clothing would add substantially to great recovery or if the socks get the majority of the job done? Thanks!
Hi Ben and Kerry, Here is a ace and gadget logistics question: I have been struggling with getting my wetsuit off quickly over my Garmin XT310 during races. I ended-up taking the Garmin on and off, which makes for a clumsy transition. Any tips how to do that more efficiently? Thanks!

Cooking with coconut oil: Would you have any tips on where to incorporate coconut oil into cooking (it sounds like it has many health benefits, but I am not sure where to use it)? Secondly, should coconut oil be stored in the fridge (where it has a solid consistency) or can it also be kept at room temperature? Thanks!

My question is about running speed. I’ve improved mine by a respectable 10mins over 10k/6mi (from 52min to 42min) off the bike this year. Recently I’ve plateaued and am having trouble finding the right workouts to break the sub-40 min. barrier. Any suggestions, or should I not expect any more gains for this race season?
